Lord Hakim is a Columbus, Ohio native who has been on the Hip Hop scene in Columbus since famed “Groove Shack Open Mic” era of the early/mid 1990s- as chronicled in the documentary “Groove Shack The Movie”. An Emcee, Producer, Remixer, and Studio Engineer- Lord Hakim is a Hip Hop enthusiast to the fullest. “My style of Hip Hop is grungy samples over boom bap percussion with razor sharp turntable techniques- now that’s Hip hop” “When it comes to emceeing, I’m a thinker I look at it like a published author writing a book, it’s all about vocabulary and being descriptive.
